PP 2000 and the Chart (Graph) module

Doris Edwards

Hello,
I am developping a .pot with two specially configured Colour Schemes. I have
also defined User defined charts that are stored in GRUSRGAL.GRA. Everything
works fine.

When in the Graph module, there is a functionnality via the menu
TOOLS/OPTIONS/Color tab. I would like to configure the "Chart Fills" and
"Chart Lines" colors on this tab to reflect the 8 colours used in the
pre-configured Color Scheme, see above.

Unfortunately, the colors are not retained when creating new .ppt files from
the above .pot.

Any ideas how to retain the colors in "Chart Fills" and "Chart Lines" ?

Thanks a lot.

Unfortunately, I don't think it can be done, Doris. Those "chart fills"
color swatches are based on the template/slide color scheme, with the "chart
lines" swatches being just a standard set of colors.

MS Graph is woefully inadequate for things like this. MS's John Langhans has
been posting in this group lately, and he'd really like to gather feedback
for future versions of PPT. Please follow the instructions below to add your
voice to that feedback.

If you (or anyone else reading this message) think that PowerPoint should
<insert whatever it is you think it should do here>,
don't forget to send your feedback to Microsoft at:

As with all product suggestions, it's important that you not just state
your wish but also WHY it is important to you that your product suggestion
be implemented by Microsoft. Microsoft receives thousands of product
suggestions every day and we read each one but, in any given product
development cycle, there are only sufficient resources to address the ones
that are most important to our customers so take the extra time to state
your case as clearly and completely as possible.

IMPORTANT: Each submission should be a single suggestion (not a list of
suggestions)
