PowerToys SlideShow Works OK in Preview-in-Browser, but Not Online

I created a fairly simple web site with a hyperlink to a SlideShow created
with the PowerToys SlideShow Wizard.

That SlideShow is contained in a folder that includes: default.htm and two
sub-folders entitled html and images.

The hyperlink points to default.htm in the folder described above.

When I hold CTRL down (with the web open in FrontPage SP3,) and click on the
hyperlink, it works fine. When I run Preview in Browser, it also works
fine.

However, after being published to my ISP's FrontPage server, the hyperlink
does not work at all, even though I have confirmed that the hyperlink on my
ISP's FrontPage server indeed points to default.htm in the folder described
above. When I click on the link online, a page appears, stating that the
page URL in not found on this server.

So far, every time I have published this web I have done so with the Options
dialogue (opened with the Options button on the Publish Web dialogue) set to
"Publish all pages, overwriting pages already on destination."

How can I get this SldeShow to work properly online?

Did you *Import* the Slideshow folder into FP first?

Hi, Rob;

Now that you bring it up, I may not have imported the slideshow. I'll check
that out. Thanks a lot for the heads-up on that.

Hello, again, Rob;

I took your suggestion and imported all of the files into my web. And that
solved the problem.

I had moved the entire, high-level folder that contained everything
pertaining to the slide show into the directory for my web before you
brought this oversight to my attention.

Now that I've imported all of the files, FP 2002 imported the files into the
web and they appear in a super-long list below the few folders that I've
placed in the web. Interestingly, if I set the hyperlink to the new
imported (I guess) copy of default.htm in the list outside of the
sub-folders, it doesn't work. But, when I set the hyperlink to the
default.htm that has always been in the high-level folder for my Slideshow,
it works fine. So, I'm wondering whether the "imported" files are now the
ones inside the original Slideshow folder or the ones in my web that appear
below the group of sub-folders.

I'm not particularly pleased with having a lot of files in a web that are
not contained in logical sub-folders. Among other foreseeable problems,
having such a disorderly hodge-podge of files could obviously lead to the
problem of the current default.htm being overwritten by another default.htm
that may be imported later.

I would very much appreciate your thoughts on this and particularly any
suggestions on how to better store all of the files outside the original
high-level Slideshow folder than leaving them as is. As it now stands, I
have two complete sets of files for the Slideshow in my web. Would it be
safe to get rid of one group? And if so, which group?

Most likely the files inside the slideshow folder are the valid ones.
I do this all the time with JAlbum galleries.
