I am using XP Pro and need to amend a PowerPoint presentation. How do I
insert a logo into the footer of the presentation. I won't let me right
click or insert.

I'm guessing that you're used to the way this works in Word.
And as you've noticed, it doesn't work that way in PPT.

To put a logo on every slide in your presentation, choose View, Master, Slide
Master.

Then choose Insert, Picture, From File and insert your logo graphic.

If you have multiple slide masters, you may need to insert the logo on each of
them (or better, insert the first, then copy/paste to add the others), but once
you've done this, the logo will appear on all slides.
