When I save a Powerpoint Presentation to our webpage it takes a long time for
many browers to open the file, and when it finally downloads, there is still
a lag in opening each page. How can I minimize the amount of time it takes
to open and view a Powerpoint Presentation? Thank You.

If possible, post a link to the presentation so that people can have a look.

The presentation is already linked to our website, it's when someone trys to open the link it can take up to 5 minutes for the link to open.

Yes, I understand that. What is the url, so WE can have a look?

OK, for starters, it's not a PPT show, it's a Flash Paper file (that was created from
PowerPoint, I'll assume). The server's not especially fast, or wasn't when I checked
... when I downloaded the file, it was only feeding 50kb/second. That translates into
quite a wait for a 5mb file.

In addition, the WMV on the main page is probably VERY large -- 640 x480 video and a
soundtrack of that quality are over the top for a little image like that. The
visitor's browser is trying to download that at the same time as everything else is
going on.

Somebody with a slow connection or a dialup will have to wait for insane amounts of
time before they'll see any of the nice visuals and sounds you're serving up here.

To make it work better, you'll need to reduce file sizes considerably.

Consider making the WMV on the main page play only when the user requests it rather
than automatically.

Consider using a different format for the slide show. As it stands, it's all in one
big scrolling file, which sort of kills the slideshow feel. It requires that the user
have a Flash player installed and security settings that permit it to work. That
won't always be the case. Try using PPT's own HTML output instead, for example.
