POWERPOINT VIEWER WILL NOT VIEW

I just downloaded and activated Powerpoint in 60 day free trial of Office
2003 Standard that came with my XP Home edition Computer. It allows me to set
up a new presentation but it will not let me view a previously prepared
program on a CD-R disc.

It'd help if you could be more specific about "will not let me view" means.

I had visions of it slapping you on the hand and telling you "NO. Not until
you're older!"

It's been a long, weird day.

What you *probably* need to do is click Help, Check for Updates and apply any
suggested patches.

Thank you Steve for your response. I have attempted to view a CD-R of s prev
prepared Powerpoint presentation but all that comes up is a blank screen.
However the program that does come up allows me to prepare A NEW Powerpoint
presentation.

Try copying the PPT from the CD to your hard drive and viewing it from there, but
first do the Help, Check for Updates thing.
