Powerpoint Viewer 2007 wont start in Vista business

hi, i have just installed MS PowerPoint Viewer 2007 on Vista business.
Installation seems to be fine. i double click on a .ppt file and vista tries
to view it with the "windows photo gallery" program. ok, no problems, i try
to open it with power point view program itself (buried in
office12\pptview.exe) but nothing. i double click on pptview.exe itself and
literally nothing happens - no error message, no warning message. it just
doesnt do anything.

i can open the .ppt without problems on powerpoint 2003 (on another PC).
anyway has anyone experienced this problem before? i have also tried the old
uninstall and re-install trick and still no good.

Make sure the viewer you installed is compatible with Vista business. Many
times the viewer isn't and you would have to download a viewer that is
compatible.

many thanks mike, actually i used this version:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...40-14e1-467d-8dca-19d2a8fd7485&DisplayLang=en
and it only specifies "windows vista" - so i assumed it was for all versions
of vista

do you have the link to the version for vista business?
