Hi,

I have written a power point presentation (saved as .pps) which includes
animation and sound (mp3). I have published it to my website but when played
no sound come through. I have tried to save it as web page, but it converted
my 800k file into an 18meg folder!

I have read that you can use a tool like cdex to make mp3 files look like
wav files, but the tool keeps failing on the mp3 files

How can I publish the pps so that sound and animation works without making
it a huge 18meg file...?

You'll need to embed the sound, which means converting the MP3 to a WAV, or
you'll need to zip up the PPT file and the sound and let users download the
zipped file and extract the files to a folder before opening the PPT file.

You might consider using PCFMedia's "Media From URL" feature. With it you
simply put the media file on your server and then link to it from within
your presentation. For a free trial version go to www.pfcmedia.com
