PowerPoint Tries To Open Every .jpg (but can't)

R

Ralph K. Park

Every time I try to open a .jpg format picture, a PowerPoint window appears,
complaining that "PowerPoint cannot open the type of file represented by
....(the name of the file).jpg" I get this only if the picture file is a
..jpg.
Appropriate programs jump in and open all other formats OK, such as .mix,
..bmp, .WMF, .gif, etc.
Thanx for any help which might be provided...
