powerpoint lockup on a wmf file

Each time I try to insert a WMF file, whether local or on the MS Office Clip
Art site, it locks Powerpoint 2003. I must kill the application to exit
through Task Manager. Has anyone seen this behavior before? Other image types
are fine (JPG, GIF, BMP, etc). Symptom is only on WMF files.

I am getting the same thing happen when i try to insert a movie from media
player. The screen goes green and powerpoint locks. I too have to exit
through task manager. If anyone can help it would be really appreciated.
