Powerpoint table window

With Powerpoint 2000 when I go to insert of Table, the Work sheet does not
appear like it did with Powerpoint 97 or 98. The is just a table button, not
like Microsoft Word Table button, is that no longer being used in Powerpoint
2000

As of 2000, PPT no longer used Word Tables; instead it has its own (rather
wimpy by comparison) table editor built in.

You can still create a table in word, copy/paste special/Link it to PPT though.

I know you already knew this, Steve, but to point it out the poster,
the original Word Table button can be placed back on the toolbar, and
it'll make Word tables directly in PowerPoint without having to switch
over to Word. (View menu > Toolbars > Customize > Commands > Insert
category > Microsoft Word Table)
