I want to find out before I buy Powerpoint if I can use a microphone attached
to my sound card to create the voice part of my presentation? What I have are
picture files in Powerpoint and I want to put my voice in with specific
pictures to tell the story.

Thanks

Oceana,

It's possible to record sound from the microphone with powerpoint. The
feature is called "record narration"

Thanks a ton. I've been reading a lot about this and also discovered I can
download a free trial. There is a lot to learn but having learned many
programs over the years I'm confident I can do what we want to do. Thanks
again.

Along with all the other information provided. I would suggest that you make
your sound recording with other software like whatever came with your sound
card. You will find the sound quality to be much better
