PowerPoint Slide Progression

I am trying to write a simple 'adventure' type show for
children with special needs. I am using hyperlinks to
choose which slide to go to next however I cannot find a
way of switching off automatic progression when either
the Spacebar or Enter is pressed. Any ideas please?

You can put navigation buttons on each slide and click the "Slide Show"
menu, select "Set up show", and click the "Browsed at a KIOSK". This method
takes away all control of the user and you control where they navigate.
