Powerpoint show

I recently made a powerpoint show that had an audio file set up to play during the show. The file was linked in the first slide and set up to play during the entire show. I set up the timing of the slide to change automatically. I then made a link on my webpage to the show. The show loaded up in explorer and the audio played but when the first slide changed the audio quite. Any suggestions on why it doesn't play right in explorer?

On the web, the sound files only play while the page is loaded that calls
the link to the sound file.

I know when you record a narration in Powerpoint it saves a narration file for each slide. Is there a way to tell powerpoint that the narration is coming from an existing sound file and it will link each slide automatically?
