Powerpoint removing templates from "available to use" view pane

Can anyone advise me on how to remove deleted templates from the view pane
when I have deleted or amended original in template file? It's currently v.
messy and confusing!

Useful info for Most Recently used files - but any ideas on how to remove
them from the Available to Use section?

Short of going into the registry and editing the template list, I personally
know of no way
