Powerpoint Picutre does not display

I have 2 pictures on a slide. After I email the slide only one of the
picutrres displays. In place of the other picture is a small box with an x.
Why won't the picture display.
 
If the picture is linked to the presentation when it is inserted, the link will
break when you email it.

LINKS under edit is grayed out, so I assume there are no links.

No, that doesn't apply to linked images. Try deleting the image and reinserting
it and then test sending it via email. That may be all you need.
