powerpoint on Dell XPS

I have 2 new Dell XPS computers. When I show a powerpoint presentation
the presentation goes black quite randomly. I have to press escape to
go back to the slide sorter view, find the slide and start the
presentation again from there. It seems to happen more frequently the
longer the presentation has been running and occurs usually when I have
stopped for a whie to talk about the slide.
I have turned off powersave and screensave so they are not the cause
and removed all mice so control is only throught the keyboard.
Any advice, Dell cannot help and I have a major presentation to give
next week

First recheck the settings for screensaver and power options. If youre sure
these are OK

When you say youre using the keyboard are you pressing "N" or space for next
slide? If so is there any chance you're catching the "B" key?

Did that answer the question / help?

Many thanks, checked screensaver and power they are off. I use the up
down arrow and have also tried with a new remote pointer and it does
the same. I tried leaving a slide on the screen as a test and after
about 10 minutes the screen went black. Pressed down arrow and the
slide returned. It sounds like power saving but they are all definitely
off via control panel, power options. Is there another way of adjusting
power options that I am missing?
