In PowerPoint 2003, when I change to "slide show view" and attempt to advance
the slide with the spacebar, enter key, etc., I get the message "PowerPoint
couldn't create link to ^0". I can advance slides through 'normal view' but
not "Slide Show View". I have dleted and reinstalled Office 2003. This did
not work.

Have you set a slide transition to each slide? Is there a hyperlink on the
slide? What are you linking to? What happens when you click on the link? Are
there any animated objects on the slide?

problem exists with slide transition as 'manual' or 'to timing if present' or
'mouse click'. there are no hyperlinks or animations in presentation.

It's always a good idea to write down the *exact* text of the error messages you
see and quote it exactly when you pop your question in here.

That makes it a lot simpler for others to help you find a solution to your
problem.

Have a look here:

"PowerPoint can't create a hyperlink to" or message about hlink.dll
http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/FAQ00501.htm

Incidentally, if you plug the exact text of the error message into Google, it'll
often give you links to the fix you need almost immediately.
