powerpoint goes to destop during slideshow

Hi all;
I have this wield problem. I have a slide show presentation
which consist of of lots of pictues (around 500M). Whenever i try to do a
slide show presentation (set to auto) on this powerpoint document, it
sometimes stops half way and goes back to desktop (powerpoint program). I
have disabled screensaver and no background programs. As the problem occurs
sometimes (around 5 out of 10 times ) Its hard to troubleshoot. I using
Office 2003. Anyone have simmilar encounters?

I would suggest making your presentation smaller, have a read here:

Also keep your hard drive in tip top condition, defragmenting, emptying temp
folder and such.
