Powerpoint file won't open in Powerpoint 2003

I have a Powerpoint file that will not open. Powerpoint 2003 says it cannot
read the file yet a co-worker can open it in the 2002 version of Powerpoint.
If I look in the folder and view as thumbnails I can see the picture of what
is in the file. Can someone help me open this?

From within PowerPoint 2003, go to the Help menu and choose Check for
Updates. Follow the instructions to apply Service Pack 1. That should take
care of your problem.

From within PowerPoint 2003, go to the Help menu and choose Check for
Updates. Follow the instructions to apply Service Pack 1. That should take
care of your problem.
