powerpoint, excel and word

I have office xp and when I open word, excel and powerpoint, the text goes
big and went to 500% and it won't allow me to change it to 100%. In a way,
you can't read the whole paragraph, it won't fit the monitor.
Please help,

Seems like your zoom is at 500%. Look at the top right of the screen. You can
change it there. If you have a scroll mouse, hold down the control key and
roll the wheel backwards to reduce the zoom and forwards to increase it.

I forgot to tell you that it zooms to 500% only when you connect the
laptop(DellD600) to Dell projector. Once connected to projector and you click
inside powerpoint, excel and word it zooms to 500%. With scroll mouse the
moment you change it to 100% it goes back right away to 500%.

I would suspect a driver problem - especially as office only zooms to 400%!
Try updating video drivers

I updated the video drivers-it's still doing the same thing.
