PowerPoint can't open the type of file represented by FILENAME

I developed some slides in OfficeXP-PowerPoint, then edited and added some
slides again in Office2000-PowerPoint, which was concluded in same. I later
tried to open in OfficeXP so as to print and the above stated message came
out and denied me accessibility to my file which I required urgently now.
Please help me as soon as you could. I am panting now, safe the situation
for me.
