Powerpoint 97 - Chart Error Bars

Hi I am trying to get error bars added to my charts. The
option is in the help menu but there are no executable
options that I can find. I know how to do it in excel but
I don't like excel charts. Anyone know how I can do the
same thing in PPT?

Just right-click one of the data series and choose Format Data Series. One
of the tabs should be for "Y Error Bars." Note that these won't be available
on some types of charts -- for instance, you won't have the Y error bars tab
on a 3D column chart. Change to 2D, and they'll be available, though.
