Office Update installed the Service Pack (SP1) for Microsoft Office 2007 2
days ago. Ever since, PowerPoint will not start. I get an error message
which says "Microsoft Office PowerPoint has stopped working" then asks if I
want to "Check for a solution online then close the program" or simply "Close
the program". Problem details are:

Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: APPCRASH
Application Name: POWERPNT.EXE
Application Version: 12.0.6211.1000
Application Timestamp: 46d4a83f
Fault Module Name: ntdll.dll

When I select first option from above the computer searches online for a
solution then I get an "Application Error" message saying:
"The application failed to initialize properly (0x80000003). Click OK to
terminate the application."

I have tried repairing Office with the installation disc and rebooting the
system. Neither helped.

Anyone got any ideas?

Thanks

What about rolling your PC back to an earlier time using 'system restore'

or

Uninstalled the SP1?

Tried all suggested and none worked. So I uninstalled any MS Office programs
in my program list, did a clean up of the registry then reinstalled Office.
Everything seems hunky-dorey now!

Thanks for your help anyway.
