PowerPoint 2007 - weird text problem formatting

ZMAN

Anyone begin using PowerPoint 2007 yet?

Have you seen what happens when you create a text box and try typing
capital lettes C D Q U W Y or Z ?

After you type any of these letters, all following letters begin
overlapping each other as if the character spacing got changed to very
narrow...

What is the solution to fixing this strange error?

We've seen a few reports of this, but I don't know if we have a definitive
fix.

You might make sure your video driver is updated and also see if changing
hardware acceleration helps. http://www.pptfaq.com/FAQ00129.htm for instrux.

In previous versions, reapplying the template sometimes fixed a similar
issue for me.

Does it happen with all fonts?

Hi,
what helped was turning off PPT and turning back on and re-opening the
file... Strange bug...
