PowerPoint 2003 stops responding

I want to print a presentation as a handout. When I
choose print preview, PowerPoint stops responding. My
work around was to copy the file to my laptop, attach the
printer and print. That worked, but I would like to solve
the problem on my desktop computer.

What brand and model printer are assigned as default printer for your
system? Are they on a network or locally installed? When did you last
upgrade the printer's driver?

Also, what version of DirectX is loaded on the system?
