PowerPoint 2003/2007 and Vista anomolies

It appears that Windows Vista is causing anomolies in both PowerPoint 2003
and 2007 presentations.
1. After an embedded video plays the Vista task bar flashes momentarily
when transitioning to the next slide.
2. Text animation from left to right is not smoothly displayed. There are
pauses and jumps.
We have tested this on different model computers from Dell and also from
Sony that were designed for Vista and rated for the Aero experience. The
issues do not surface when utilizing Windows XP with Powerpoint 2003 or 2007.
Has anyone else experienced a difference in playback of high impact
presentations while running on Vista? Additionally, have found a resolution?
Thank you for your comments.

Hi Austin,
The Vista Codec Package appeared to improve the text animation slightly, but
it had the unanticipated effect of increasing the flicker rate of the task
bar. It appears the Vista task bar really likes to make brief appearances on
top of PowerPoint slideshow mode before and after playing videos in the
presentation. We have found a work around - Task bar properties - "keep the
task bar on top of other windows" needs to be unchecked, but that is quick
and dirty and not the default install of Vista. I'm sure that the Vista guys
need to look at this as it doesn't happen with XP and PowerPoint 2003 or
2007. Do you have any other suggestions?

You won't like it but, get rid of the NVidia card. They seem unable to
build a device driver that is compatible with Vista.
