Powerpoint 2002 will not open Powerpoint 97 files

Any ideas as to why a new machine with PowerPoint 2002
would not open up PowerPoint 97 files?

There shouldn't be any problem opening 97 files with 2002, Brian. Are
you getting any error messages?
