I have created an e-newsletter using PPoint 2002 consisting of the homepage
and an additional number of slides (about 5).
On the homepage I have a section that is an organization chart that contains
subordinates that are named and the names are hyperlinks to the slide they
correspond to. My intention was that when I mail this e-flier to my
co-workers that they only receive the homeslide with the links on it and be
able to click the links to take them to the slide they want to see, rather
than have them open the whole show.
The trouble I have is that I have read how to create a custom show and tried
it, but when send a test to myself, I receive the entire shebang, along with
the slide sorter along the left margin. The hyperlinks don't open when I
click on them, I have to right click and say "open hyperlink". I want my
coworkers to just click on it and take them to the page. Also, is there a
way to send this via e-mail where it doesn't go as an attachment that needs
to be clicked open? When I do it as an attachment, I get a message asking me
if I want to merge changes in the file. The attachment doesn't open unless I
click an option. All of this makes this presentation cumbersome. This is
what I need to have happen if possible and I would be SOOO thankful if
someone could help me out:
1. I need to get that "Do you want to merge changes..." message to disappear
when sending the message/file/attachment...whatever form I end up sending
2. I would really like it if this could just go through the e-mail as a
"page" instead of an attachment, but if not possible, then I would like it so
that when the attachment is clicked open it appears as just the one slide, no
slide sorter or anything around it with functioning links.
I think this is it. I am new to PPoint stuff like this and really look
forward to learning and appreciate your kind help!
(P.S., if it helps, there is no sensitive info in the file that I am aware
of and wouldn't mind sharing it with whoever could help me out if it helps to
see what I am talking about. Likely it's something I have set up wrong.)
