PowerPoint 2000 - Retain Format of Copied Slides

Is it possible to keep the formatting of slides when they are copied into
another presentation? If so, how do you do it? Thanks.

I have xp but in that

Insert slides from file - check keep source formatting
 
Did a quick check 2000 doeSnt have this I think because it doesnt support
multiple masters
