Powerpoint 2000 and 2003 closes without error message

Hi,
When I try to open any PP files, the program closes without any error and
warnings. I tried to install Powerpoint 2003, and uninstalled it then install
an older version. Both apps have the same problem. Is Powerpoint known to
cause conflict with any other sofwares? This is on a Windpws XP computer.
Please help.
Thanks in advance,

Try deleting your *.PCB file (it's the PPT toolbar). PPT will recreate it
when it restarts.

If that doesn't do it, holler back.

Hi Echo,
I talked to the user who has problem. Now he told me he did not have problem
with Powerpoint, but Publish. Sorry, I post the wrong question.

Thank you,
Mike

LOL!

I guess in a way it's good to know that it's not only PPT that does this
kind of thing.
