Power Point and the Web

What I have/What I'm doing:
I have added one of the add-ins for the live update of web links contained
within the presentation. But while working on the presentation and anytime
prior to the slide show the screen is either completely blank or shows a
fuzzy, full screen windows logo.

What I'd like to see/do:
I would like to be able to see a representation of the web page that I am
linking to in the edit mode of the slides instead of a blank screen. I have
already tried by using a screen shot, and pasting image but this is not what
I really need.
I can use any of three versions of Power Point from 97 up. I have a
permanent internet connection.

Can this be done or am I using the wrong program alltogether?

The addin cannot do a representational image for you. However you can place
the same over the control that is inserted, the live web page will overlay
the image during the slideshow.
