I have installed Microsoft Office 2003. Everything works except Power
Point. Power Point will not open at all. I have tried uninstalling and then
installing again. Still the problem exists. Any ideas?

I bought Microsoft Office Professional Edition 2003.

Actually what happens is, Power Point opens but it will not run a slide show.

Thanks

If PowerPoint opens, then go to the Help menu and choose Check for
Updates. Follow the instructions to apply Service Pack 1. Let us know if
that solves your problem.

Thanks again.

I've tried that and it still won't run slide shows. Another note. When you
double click on a .pps file, Power point opens "minimized". And clicking on
the minimized block on the bottom does nothing. You have to Ctrl Alt Delete
and close to quit Power Point.

Thanks again for your help. I'll try again this weekend.

Please let us know *exactly* what you're doing to start PPT and fire off a
slide show. Small things may matter and there's something blocking my view of
what you're doing. ;-)

Ah.

Start PPT (Start, All Programs, etc, but NOT by doubleclicking a PPT/PPS file)
Choose File, Open and navigate to your PPS and choose it.
It'll open in normal edit mode instead of as a slideshow.
Choose SlideShow, Set Up Show
Make sure it's set to Display slide show on: Primary Monitor (I'm betting it's
not)
Click OK
Save the show.

Now try doubleclicking the PPS

Thanks Steve. That fixed it. I hope others can benefit from this. I've
been trying to figure this out for months and now it works.

Thanks again. This is great!!!
