Power Options (UPS)

I have all of my servers configured with a UPS. The UPS displays time and
info properly. My questions is when a critical alarm (battery almost
exhausted) is reached and the machine is shutdown and the APC is shutdown,
will the machine restart after the APC battery is recharged or am I going to
physically have to restart the machine?

Also, why does a batch file that I created to do one thing before shutdown
have to be placed in the system32 directory. See below snippet from help:
The command file must reside in your systemroot\System32 folder and have one
of the following extensions: .exe, .com, .bat, or .cmd.

Why cannot I place it in my netadmin directory with other scripts?
Administrators and System have full control over this netadmin directory.

Thanks

I would say no, I'm not familar with any script to auto
start with a proviso to wait till the battery is recharged.
if power is off, and the battery UPS unit discharges, the
server will shutdown and unless you have it set to restart
upon restore of power it will stay down, Some UPS units
have the ability to send you a page letting you know it's
lost power and shutting down.

I wouldn't think it would be a safe idea to boot upon
power restore, if some hardware failed within the server,
you could create a cascade effect and lose other
components within the server.
