POwer options in group policy

HI

I am using Windows 2000 server-Active directory. 90% of my users have XP
workstations and the rest are wondows 2000.
I have a group policy for all users.
My XP users are not able to alter their power options. I have not done
anything in the group policy to alter this.
I have enabled, Show only specific applets in the control panel. I have
included power options in that.
The users are able to see that icon in the control panel but when they try
to change the settings, it says access denied.
I don't know what to do. Kindly let me know a way to fix this.

Power Options can be changed by users with 'Power User' membership or
Administrators.
If your users are regular Domain Users, they cannot change Power Options.

this.

Hi,

Power options are set per machine not per users so a regular user
can’t set them. There is a gpo available here that is suppose to be
good. Haven’t used it though.
