Power Options - Hibernate / Standby no longer available - XP Pro

Hi,

I've been havivg problems with my new Acer 290 Notebook;
ever since changing the power options to "Always On" in
order to flatten the battery, I have been unable to get
Windows to return to the previous state.

Standby is greyed out in the Shutdown menu, the Keyboard
Sleep button no longer works, and the Hibernate tab is
now missing from the Power Options window.

Any suggestions gratefully received, thank you.

Hi,

Have you tried to use the restore feature to roll back the OS to the date before changing the power option?
