Does anyone know how to completely disable power management in Windows XP?

Go into the Power applet in Control Panel and set everything to Always
On. Disable hibernation.

The computers we are using are in an office setting. We
have tried setting everything always, but it always seems
to default back to what it was whenever a new user logs
onto the computer. Is there any way around having it
default back to the original settings or to completely
disable it? Sorry I should have said that in my original
post.

Are the computers members of a domain? If so, what is the server os?

Yes, they are. We are currently using Small Business
Server 2000 and are upgrading to Small Business Server
2003 this weekend. Is there a way to control it through
Group Policy?

Hi, Robert. I'm not familiar with SBS enough to answer you. I think
you'd do best to post your question in one of the server groups.
Undoubtedly there is an MS group for SBS and I know that the regulars
in the general server groups are fantastic. Here's a link with a
