I running Win XP Pro on an AMD 2.0Ghz system. When I go
to "start", "Turn Off COmputer", the computer doesn't
power off. Am I missing some power management features in
XP or might it be related to the motherboard whuch is a
KT400-ANB from Pine. I contacted them and they said I
need to try Microsoft support. I tried looking in the MS
knowledgebase with no results.

Thanks

Look into Bios settings. Perhaps APM is disabled. Also make sure that
you're running the latest version of the BIOS.
