power icon missing on taskbar

Although I have checked the power icon for the taskbar on my laptop it
doesn't appear anymore. Any ideas?

Ctrl Panel > Power Options > Advanced > Always show icon on the taskbar.

OR

Taskbar Properties > Taskbar Tab > Customize button (to the right of Hide
inactive icons) > find the power icon and select Always Show

Power icon not shown where it should be on the right side of Hide.

Does it is appear in the systray, but it is always hidden when the systray
hides icons? Setting it to always show in the Taskbar properties should fix
this.
