I recently needed to reinstall some of my Windows Xp components on a HP
Pavillion machine. Previously installed Xp over ME and all was well. then
files started disappering including some windows components. Decided to
reinstall after SP2 to fix windows problems. During reinstall power failure
and got message after windows cannot start and that my
\Windows\Winxp\Sytem32\Config\System file either missing or corrupt. So dumb
me installs new Winxp Pro in seperate directory. Can i recover and repair or
should I cut and run. All files in old partition or directory still there
just have to operating systems one good one bad. Help

An installation that was interrupted by a power failure is compromised.
Use your second installation, or start again with a freshly formatted disk.
