Posting to newsgroups (again)

I have them same problems as others, after writing and sending, message says
"Sent to newsgroup" but never appears, I have tried earlier suggestions ie
the rating feature, and the xxxheader . but no avail. is their any way I can
check, say on the web to see if it is appearing on the newsgroup as it
certainly don't show here , have spent two days chopping and changing
accounts.perhaps some-body could go through their enteries in accounts. as I
am now totally stumped

You are using the screwy Web interface to post.Set up your newsreader and it will be much better and your posts will then always show up.

Thks Peter for the quick response.Sorry I do not understand I have newsgroups
in windows mail set up and get the the news items from "teranews.com", sorry
if I appear thick, it must be my age !!!! can you explain how to follow your
suggestion, thanks

In windows mail I have set up the account to Teranews, I then select
newsgroups and go to the news group that I subscribed to say uk.d-i-y,
although while trying to sort this out used news.test_messages,then select
"new post"fill in subject say TEST , put say test again in message area,
then press send,, message comes up to say post sent to newsgroup ect. but it
never appears, Have checked my account with Teranews and that is active ,
have confirmed my user id and pass word all okay,
I must be doing something wrong .
the posts update okay but not mine.Have twice e-mailed teranews but get no
answer.
I would mention that I use free.teranews.com, but I am using the right
address as apposed to the charged one "teranews.com

I had the same problem with newsdemon, and found out that the reason my
posts weren't going through was because on the homepage, you had to read the
terms and agree with the terms of service, before they would actually send
your posts. I don't know if that is your problem at all, but thought I would
mention it.

We really need to determine if your problem is only with free.teranews.com
or also happens with other news servers. That will help narrow the problem
down. Are you familiar with how to set up an account with msnews.microsoft.com?
If not, just double-click on "Microsoft Communities" in the left (folder) pane,
and it should guide you through the process. Subscribe to the newsgroup
microsoft.public.windows.vista.mail (this one).

In the meantime, check these settings:
Tools, Options, Read, uncheck "Get 300 headers at a time".
Tools, Options, Send, News Sending Format, Plain Text Settings, select
"Uuencode".
