Is there a better way of installing an address book files
from another computer (not linked or networked) to a new
XP, other than printing the old list and typing the new
address into the Outlook Express address book?

All address books are stored as a physical file, that can
be copied to a different PC. The issue is which mail client
do you use. Each client uses a different file extension and
format.

Outlook Express = .Wab
Outlook = .Pst (Internal, with all mail folders)

Also, you can export address book data to what is called
a neutral format (CSV-Column Separated Values). Once
in this format, you can usually import that file into most of
the mail client address books. The option is found on the
text field "File", as Import/Export.
