Possible virus problem

Can anyone please help or advise? Recently, whenever I
type in a URL starting with www. I get sent to Yahoo's
website. I have to type in the full URL i.e. http: etc to
get to the site I want. The URL v.rape.hardloved.com
appears all the time and I cannot get rid of it - has
anyone got any ideas - is this caused by a Virus?

Got QHOST, eh?
Or some nasty spyware/adware..

You want to update your AntiVirus and scan for viruses/trojans.
You want to download/install/update/scan with LavaSoft AdAware, SpyBot
Search and Destroy and clean up.
You want to turn on your built in firewall (ICF) or
download/install/properly configure another firewall.

Don't know how to do one of those things? Use Google to search for things
like "free antivirus" or "free firewall" or "eliminate spyware" or "turn on
ICF"...
