Possible to Get Past Registering

Hi, my old computer recently became my newest doorstop. This computer had
Windows XP Pro(That I purchased myself). My new computer came with
Home(Preconfigured that way :( ) and I would like to put my Professional that
I purchased on it. How can I get past the registering part since this is a
different computer?

Ring the Microsoft Activation Centre in your country and explain the
situation.
 
just register it..
only requirement is that your Id is on only ONE computer..u may have to
use the 800 number to tell Microsoft that u junked the old computer ..

There's nothing to "get past." Registration is, and always has been,
entirely optional.

Assuming a retail license (OEM licenses are not transferable),
simply remove WinXP from the computer it is currently on and sell,
donate, or give it away. If it's been more than 120 days since you last
activated that specific Product Key, the new owner will most likely be
able to activate via the Internet without problem. If it's been less,
he/she might have to make a 5 minute phone call.
