possible to get a url to any microsoft ng post?

I have been using google groups search for years to find a post, then I
convert it to a "tiny" url so it wont get broken and then send it or use it
in another post. So is there any other mechanism besides Google where I can
form a url to a thread in a microsoft news group so that another party can
read it if they don't have a news reader? I know I can prefix the message
id with the phrase "and if the receipent has a newsreader they can
read that particular post. That does not work on a thread AFAICT.
Occasionally google gets out of date expecially on active news groups like
this one. Surely microsoft has some way of referencing a thread in their
own usenet group without haveing to use google. MSDN seems to have html
news readers I would think there would be a way to get a url to a post here
thru msdn?

The nature of newsgroups is that the messages expire after a time.
Some web sites (such as Google) record newsgroup messages and archive them
for longer than the default period.
DotNet247 is such a site. Perhaps it will be of use to you. Here's a link
to this newsgroup on dotnet247:
