Possible Enterprise

I know this may be a stupid question, but i was wondering
if anyone knew if microsoft was making plans to develop
an enterprise edition of this. I Work at a school
district where we have roughly 600 faculy/administration
computers and over 2000 student computers, and spyware
has become quite an issue. I checked on the cost
estimates of other spyware removal and they are a little
too expensive for my blood. I think Webroot wanted $5000
for 500 licenses. I know thats only $10 a license, but
still as far as a budgeting item that could get mighty
costly. If someone could get back to me on this issue it
would be greatly appreciated.

Nothing has been announced about the future of the product beyond the beta,
or about enterprise features or an enterprise version.

The feedback in these groups is being read, and there have been LOTS of
requests for such a version and for the kinds of features that are required
for enterprise deployment.

Hi Joe,
No word on an enterprise version...yet. Keep the drumbeat up tho.

There are some systems, such as PandaSoftware, that are offering a full
package of AV, spyware, spam mail for the enterprise..
I also use DeepFreeze from Faronics.com on all our classroom, library,
public use pc's and find their .edu pricing very reasonable.
One can run a centralized version of DeepFreeze and control the units
nicely.

Look at Omniquad Enterprise AntiSpy about half the price
of webroot, central Management and also a deplyment tool
built in plus the signature file and product is about 2
years old making the Spyware database very mature.
