POP UP's

Is there a setting that can be set that would block some
spyware to install and create unwanted pop ups? I work at
a school and was using Ad-Aware but then found that we
can't becuase of License issues and it would cost $8000 to
install on all the systems.

Did you look into using SpyBot Search and Destroy to scan for parasites? It also
works very well and they don not require payment but if you do decide to use it send
the poor guys at least something. The Google Toolbar also works extremely well for
eliminating popups [SpyBot can not do that]. If your computers are on a domain, you
can also use Group Policy to configure Internet Explorer and Web Content Zones to
have higher security than default and use the trusted Web Content Zone to exempt
trusted sites. Privacy [cookie handling] can generally be left at medium high. See
links below for more info. --- Steve
