Positioning typing on a postcard

I wish to send a standard message on a 24cmx12cm landscape postcard.

Questions:

1. How do I layout wording 6.5cm in from left edge and end 8cm in from right
edge

2. Postcard landscape width will not fit printer HP1010 so when printing
will need to enter postcard in portrait position.

If you set the document up as landscape in Word, you feed it in portrait
position and the printer prints landscape.
