Ports for VPN

Gary

Can someone tell me what ports need to be opened on the
router for VPN to connect up?

We got a new router from our telecom company and I
thought we opened the ports that I'd opened on the old
one, but users cannot connect through VPN anymore. I got
OWA working, so I know I have the right IP address, I'm
guessing a critical port is closed off.

Thanks,
Gary

I believe the generic port for IPSEC VPN is 500. I think you may have to
read the router manual. My simple (read cheap) netgear router, as do many
routers, automatically passes vpn through the router. Your router may
require enabling this feature.

Maybe your new router does not allow VPN?

Thank you...the GRE was missing.
