Portable scratch pad Application?

Hi,
I'm wondering if there's a web application or a standalone application
that acts like a combination of Google's scratch pad plugin on their
Side Bar + Yahoo! Notepad.

As you all know, Google Scratch pad is computer-based rather than
user-based. I'm looking for a similar convenient app that will allow me
to access my notes in any computer. Yahoo! Notepad kinda serves this
purpose but has too many steps compared to Google Scratch pad.

Please feel free to post if you have a work around or a hack for this
purpose.

I have been using this guy's little notepad thingy for years. It works
by CGI and JavaScript, so you will have to plug it into a web page. It
is also compressed int .tar.gz. I don't even remember how I extracted
that file.
