I have a torrent application on an ICS client and I want it to be able to
connect with a port it uses
(45911) through the ICS server as if it was connected directly to the
internet. Port forwarding...
I believe the torrent app on the ICS client is not performing well because
its not directly connected to the internet, rather it gets the internet from
the ICS server that IS connected directly to the internet
(no router or anything.. just a plain adsl modem via ethernet).
I dont understand the page you gave me.... can you explain how I can forward
a port?
On the ICS server right click the Local Area Connection representing the
adapter connected to the modem and select Properties. On the Advanced tab,
click Settings, then Add - fill in the IP address of the client machine and
the type and number of the port. Obviously, you would want to statically
configure TCP/IP on the client machine so that its address will not change.
but I am wondering if this is so easy why is there an application from
steelbytes
that does port forwarding? I thought you needed a program..
